General Info

Eating places:
- Bar and Restaurant service will be available in the arenas during the 4 days of POM 2014.

POM Hard Floor:
- Hard floor available in Gouveia Municipal Sport Hall.
- The athletes must bring sleeping bag and mattress.
- The organization appeals to the respect of the municipal hall, mainly in terms of silence and hygiene care.
- It is strictly forbidden to wear competition shoes inside the municipal sports hall.

POM 2014 Official BIB:
- POM 2014 official bib will have the start time for each stage, the SI card number; class; club; country.
- POM 2014 official bib is mandatory for every runner. Team Leaders must pick up the bib number for their club.
- A runner who doesn´t have the official bib won’t be allowed to start the race.
- In case of bib´s loss, the runner must proceed to its substitution in the secretariat/event center.
- This substitution implicates the payment of a 2,00 € tax.

Elite Classes:
- In case the number of inscriptions exceeds the 100 inscriptions limit, the elite class will be split into 2 classes: SuperElite (SE) and Elite (E).
- The SuperElite classe gathers the first 100 runners according to the world ranking. The remaining athletes will compete in the Elite Class.
-POM&rsquos organizers reserve the right to give “wild cards” to Super Elite Class.

SportIdent: 
- SportIdent (SI Card) will be the official punching system for POM 2014.
- Rented SI Cards must be given back in the end of the event.
- To lose or not to return the SI Card implicates the non devolution of the 50, 00 € guarantee firstly handed.
- In case of a change of the competition’s SI Card, it is mandatory to notify this change in the secretariat.
- The start of a runner who changed his SI Card number without previous notification to secretariat won’t be allowed.

Start Times:
- It is not possible to change the start time in the competition day.

Race Time Limits: 
- Race time limit for Long Distance: 3 hours.
- Race time limit for Middle Distance: 2 hours.
- Race time limit for Sprint: 1 hour.

Map collecting and Fair-Play: 
- The maps won’t be collected in the end of each race. Therefore, it is asked for the fair-play of all participants, in order not to show their maps to the competitors who haven’t yet started.

Showers:
- Gouveia’s Municipal Sports Hall

Baby-Sitting:
- Babysitting service will be available in the arenas during the 4 days of POM 2014.

First Aid Service:
- First aid service working in the arena.
- In case of a serious injury, which needs more specific treatment, the patient will be transferred to the closest health care center.

Starts:
- There will be sinalization from the arena to the start.

Overall Classification:
- The overall classification of POM 2014 will be result of the total amount of points collected in each of the 4 stages, except for the Elite Classes, which will be the result of the sum of the times concerning the 4 stages. 

Prizes:
- WRE – Prizes to the first 5 W/M Elite.
- POM Overall Classification – Trophies to the first 3 athletes (5 first athletes in the Elite Classes) in all competition and open classes. Trophies to the first 5 clubs.
- NIGHT SPRINT – Trophies to the first 3 athletes in all competition and open classes.
- TRAIL-O - Trophies to the first 3 athletes in open and paralympic classes.

Competition Rules: 
- Competition rules according to FPO´s Competition standards.
- In case of any missing situation in this FPO document, IOF rules will be applicated.
