- Hard floor will be in the Event Center (Multiusos of Viseu);
- Open: 17/02 at 18h; Closes: 21/02 at 18h;
- There will be WI-FI, Electricity posts, Results, Start times, WC, Showers and small Bar to Breakfast and Dinner;
Showers:
- Besides the Hard Floor's showers (Event Center) will exist, during all POM days, alternative showers in Viseu (Parque do Fontelo), open to everyone;
- In addition, there will be showers at Sátão's gym and pool to day 3 and 4, marked with arrows by Organization;
Model Event:
- There will be two Model Events, both using the competition maps. Model Event 1 will be in Nossa Srª do Crasto map (Day 1 & 2) and Model Event 2 will be in Nosso Sr. dos Caminhos map (Day 3 & 4). Both Model Events will have "O-flags" and there will be indications since Event Center. Model Events' maps should be acquired at Event Center;
Chasing start:
- On the last day all the Elite Classes (M21SE, M21E and W21E) will have a Chasing Start in the center of Arena. Athletes who are more than one hour after the first or didn’t run one of the days will have a “mass start” one hour after the first start. The first athlete in the finish will be the winner of the respective class;
POM 2012 BIB:
- All athletes must use the POM 2012 bib. Each Team Leader can get it in the Event Centre;
- Only athletes with POM's official bib correctly placed on the equipment are allowed to start the race;
- The bib will have the following information: SIcard number, class, club and country;
Elite classes:
- The Male Elite class was divided in two. The 100 best of World Raking will be in M21SuperElite and the remaining in M21Elite. In day 3 both classes will count to WRE, like IOF suggests;
Change SIcard number:
- Any SIcard change must be done before the start in the secretariat. It will not be allowed any start with changes of information not validated previously in secretariat;
Start times:
- It will not be allowed any change of start time on competition classes in event days;
- Open Classes won't have start time, they will have a time interval where they can start with "START Base";
Race time limits:
- The time limit for Long courses is 3 hours, for the Middle distance is 2 hours and for Sprint is 1 hour;
Fair Play:
- At the end of each course, athletes can keep their map, therefore fair play is requested to all participants;
Results:
- The final result of POM 2012 will be the sum of points from all four stages except in Elite classes that will be by chasing start;
Traffic Indications:
- There will be traffic indications made by Organization using orange and white arrows;
Rules:
- POM 2012 will be regulated by Portuguese Orienteering Federation regulation. In presence of any missing case we will apply the IOF rules.
