José Miguel Fernandes é um jovem apicultor do Alentejo, que herdou do pai a experiência de décadas para conseguir uma boa colheita de mel.
O mel é um alimento totalmente natural produzido por abelhas a partir do néctar recolhido das flores. Existem vários tipos de mel, com diferentes características como o sabor, a cor, a viscosidade, etc. O que faz alterar estes factores não são as abelhas, mas sim o seu alimento, o tipo de flor, condições climatéricas e as zonas geográficas.
O mel ApiFernandes é derivado quase na sua totalidade da flor do rosmaninho, embora por dia, uma abelha passe por mais de 50 mil tipo de flores. Cada abelha faz em média 13 a 17 viagens da flor até à colmeia. O mel é um alimento muito usado desde a antiguidade, utilizado muitas vezes para fins medicinais, havendo mesmo muitas passagens bíblicas onde é citado o mel.

José Miguel Fernandes is a young beekeeper from the Alentejo, who inherited his father’s experience of decades to get a good harvest of honey.
Honey is a totally natural food produced by bees from the filling of the flowers. There are several types of honey, with different characteristics like flavor, color, viscosity, etc. What makes these factors change are not the bees, but rather their food, the type of flower, climatic conditions and geographical areas.
ApiFernandes honey is derived almost entirely from the rosemary blossom, although per day a bee goes through more than 50 miles of flowers. Each bee makes on average 13 to 17 trips from the flower to the beehive. Honey is a food that has long been used since antiquity, often used for medicinal purposes, and there are even many biblical passages where honey is mentioned.
