Important Informations
- No athlete will be allowed to start without a visible BIB.
- The BIBs will be assigned by the organization.
- No athlete will be allowed to start without an SI-card (chip) or with a number different from the registered one, changes should be made in advance by e-mail, or at the event’s reception desk.
- If any of the Elite classes has more than 120 athletes registered, it will be split in two classes with equivalent courses. The split will be made according to the World Ranking standings on the 1st of January 2017 (See http://ranking.orienteering.org/Ranking). The top athletes will be moved into a SuperElite class. Both will run a similar course.
- Chasing start– On the last stage, all the Elite classes (M21E and W21E) will have a Chasing Start. Athletes who are more than one hour after the first or didn’t run one of the forest stages will have a mass start one hour after the first start. The first athlete in the finish will be the winner of the respective class.
- The final classification will be obtained by adding the points.

DESCRIPTION |
| Easy Short | Any age or sex, individually or in group. The course uses safe linear references. With no technical skills needed and very low physical requirement and a great opportunity for sightseeing. |
| Difficult Short | Any age or sex, individually or in group. The course uses safe linear references. Basic technical skills are needed but very low physical skills are required and also with the opportunity for sightseeing. |
| Easy Long | Any age or sex, individually or in group. The course uses safe linear references. Basic technical skills are needed and physical skills are required and also with the opportunity for sightseeing. |
| Difficult Long | Any age or sex, individually or in group. Formal orienteering course that requires technical orienteering skills and some physical skills. This is the class for competition athletes which have send their entries after the last deadline. |

Baby-Sitting
Day 1 and day 2 – 300m from the arena: GPS – 39°18’12.5″N 7°43’45.2″W
Day 3 and day 4 – The babysitting will be installed in the arena.
During the Sprint and PreO events the Babysitting service will not be provided.

Participans should follow the indications of the organization, relative to the accesses to the events and parking. The main route should be followed. Please check the LOCATIONS page.
Accommodation
Hard floor will be made available free of charge at the Muncipal Pavillions of Alter do Chão and Portalegre.
