The start list for the Long Distance – Chasing Start si now online.
On the final day, based on the results of the three forest races from the previous days, all competition classes will start using a Chasing Start format.
The first competitor to start will be the one with the lowest total time from the three previous stages. Subsequent competitors will start according to their time difference from the first competitor.
After one hour of Chasing Start departures, the remaining athletes will start at 15-second or 30-second intervals, depending on the class.

On the terrain for Sunday’s Long Distance, there is standing water in the flatter areas (north of the starts). The water is shallow (approximately 15–20 cm) and does not present any danger to competitors nor does it affect navigation.
This situation is the result of persistent rainfall throughout the week and was only identified on Saturday afternoon while controls were being placed for Sunday’s event. As soon as it was detected, it was properly assessed by the Organisation, confirming that there is no risk to participants.
We emphasise that these areas do not affect safety or the technical quality of the competition.
For Monday’s Middle Distance event, this situation does not occur.
For Tuesday’s Long Distance Chasing Start, there may be a small area with similar characteristics on the south-eastern edge of the map, likewise without any impact on safety or on the quality of the competition.

The persistent rainfall over the past few weeks has made it impossible to carry out the planned improvement works along the entire dirt road heading north from the arena. For the comfort and safety of all attendees, the Organisation has decided to implement the following changes to the parking and access arrangements for Arena Mira Norte:
