WARNING – Long Distance (Sunday) – Water in the Terrain

On the terrain for Sunday’s Long Distance, there is standing water in the flatter areas (north of the starts). The water is shallow (approximately 15–20 cm) and does not present any danger to competitors nor does it affect navigation.

This situation is the result of persistent rainfall throughout the week and was only identified on Saturday afternoon while controls were being placed for Sunday’s event. As soon as it was detected, it was properly assessed by the Organisation, confirming that there is no risk to participants.

We emphasise that these areas do not affect safety or the technical quality of the competition.

For Monday’s Middle Distance event, this situation does not occur.

For Tuesday’s Long Distance Chasing Start, there may be a small area with similar characteristics on the south-eastern edge of the map, likewise without any impact on safety or on the quality of the competition.

Change to the Parking Arrangement at Arena Mira Norte

The persistent rainfall over the past few weeks has made it impossible to carry out the planned improvement works along the entire dirt road heading north from the arena. For the comfort and safety of all attendees, the Organisation has decided to implement the following changes to the parking and access arrangements for Arena Mira Norte:

  • The first 500 metres of the dirt road are reserved exclusively for caravans.
  • Overnight stays by motorhomes on this dirt road remain permitted.

New procedure for caravan parking:

  • Upon reaching the junction, caravans will be directed onto the dirt road heading north.
  • Parking must be carried out along the dirt road (on one side only), following the instructions of the Organisation.
  • When leaving the parking area, caravans must turn around and head south back to the junction. Upon reaching the junction, they must turn left (towards the east).
