The POM 2026 Night Sprint will take place in the Mira-Villas resort. This is a non-competitive extra sprint, held in a uniquely scenic setting.

Parking
  • During the Night Sprint, the circulation of Portugal “O” Meeting participants’ vehicles is strictly prohibited within the urban area of Mira-Villas.
  • All participants must park their vehicles on the access road to Mira-Villas (40.4442, -8.7896), following the instructions provided by the organisers.
    • Distance from the parking area to the arena: 300m to 850m

Night Sprint Arena
  • Arena Location: 40.4370, -8.7880
  • In the arena you will find the Event Office, babysitting services, first aid and toilets.
  • The arena also hosts the restaurant Pátio do Tabuinhas, an excellent option for dinner after the Night Sprint (advance booking is recommended).

  • Symbol Set and Rules – Map drawn in accordance with the International Specification for Sprint Orienteering Maps 2019-2 of the International Orienteering Federation (IOF).
    • There are forest sections with grassy ground, offering excellent runnability. These areas have not been mapped with the “white” symbol (405 Forest), but instead with symbol 402 Open land with scattered trees.
  • Terrain – An engaging mix of urban areas, gardens and forest. The forested sections are generally very clean and fast to run through.
