Event Location

The municipality of Mira, on Portugal’s central coast, is defined by the harmony between the sea, lagoons, and vast pine forests — a landscape that offers outstanding conditions for outdoor sports. The Mira Lagoon and the Mira Pine Forest provide an ideal setting for hiking and MTB, with trails that unfold across dunes, woodland and agricultural areas. The proximity to the ocean and the purity of the surrounding landscapes make this territory perfect for anyone seeking outdoor challenges.

Praia de Mira, awarded the Blue Flag for several decades, highlights the region’s strong commitment to active and sustainable tourism, combining water sports with moments of leisure and well-being.

And it is here that the Portugal “O” Meeting returns for another edition, after previous events in 2000 and 2015. The quality of the terrain — suitable for all ages and technical levels — together with a highly detailed, largely new map and a welcoming local community with a genuine spirit of hospitality, make this the ideal destination for days of top-level Orienteering on the Portuguese Atlantic coast.
