Results and prizes

Over the course of 4 days, there will be 7 stages in POM’27, according to the event programme

 4 Forest Stages – from Saturday, February 6th to Tuesday, February 9th

  • For the overall classification of POM’27, the four forest stages count.
  •  The final result of the Portugal ‘O’ Meeting will be determined by the sum of the points obtained throughout the 4 scoring stages, except in the Elite categories, where the winner of the event will be the first athlete to finish the last stage (Chasing Start).
  • The stage on February 7th is a WRE event, with an awards ceremony.
  •  If the Elite Men’s category is divided by a large number of participants, only the athletes in Elite Men’s 1 (ME1) will be entitled to go to the podium.
  • The top five finishers in the WE and ME1 categories will go to the podium.
  • In the overall POM’27 classification, the following will go to the podium:
    • TOP 3 of each Competition category
    • TOP 5 by Clubs
    • TOP 5 of the Elite categories (only WE and ME1 receives prizes
    • All young people in the Training levels (T10, W/M12) receive a souvenir

 2 Sprint Stages

Night Sprint – Saturday, February 6th

Stage with joint classification with the urban sprint, not counting towards the overall POM’27 classification, but counting towards the sprint classification.

Urban Sprint – Monday, February 8th

Stage with joint classification with the urban sprint, not counting towards the overall POM’27 classification, but counting towards the sprint classification.

  • The February 7th stage is a WRE event, with an awards ceremony.
  • In the overall sprint classification, with a dedicated awards ceremony to be held immediately after the end of the urban race, the following will take the podium:
    • TOP 3 of each Competition category
    • TOP 5 of the Elite categories (M/W)

PreO – Sunday, February 7th

  • The Precision Orienteering (PreO) competition will have its own classification and a dedicated awards ceremony, which will be held immediately after the end of the race.
  • The top three finishers in each category will go up to the podium.

Babysitting

During the Foot Orienteering events (Sprint and Forest), this service will be available.
Those wishing to use this service must select the corresponding option when registering on the OriOasis platform.

Hard-floor

The organisation will provide free hard-floor accommodation at a location to be determined.

Weather

  • Temperatures: Maximum of 20°C / Average of 12°C / Minimum: 6°C
  • Daylight: sunrise will be around 7:30 am and sunset at 6:10 pm.
