{"id":109,"date":"2026-04-28T17:40:35","date_gmt":"2026-04-28T17:40:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pom.pt\/2027\/?page_id=109"},"modified":"2026-04-28T17:40:42","modified_gmt":"2026-04-28T17:40:42","slug":"general-info","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/pom.pt\/2027\/en\/general-info\/","title":{"rendered":"General Info"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Results and prizes<\/h3>\n<p>Over the course of 4 days, there will be 7 stages in POM\u201927, according to the event programme<\/p>\n<h4>\u00a04 Forest Stages \u2013 from Saturday, February 6th to Tuesday, February 9th<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>For the overall classification of POM\u201927, the four forest stages count.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0The final result of the Portugal \u2018O\u2019 Meeting will be determined by the sum of the points obtained throughout the 4 scoring stages, except in the Elite categories, where the winner of the event will be the first athlete to finish the last stage (Chasing Start).<\/li>\n<li>The stage on February 7th is a WRE event, with an awards ceremony.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0If the Elite Men\u2019s category is divided by a large number of participants, only the athletes in Elite Men&#8217;s 1 (ME1) will be entitled to go to the podium.<\/li>\n<li>The top five finishers in the WE and ME1 categories will go to the podium.<\/li>\n<li>In the overall POM\u201927 classification, the following will go to the podium:\n<ul>\n<li>TOP 3 of each Competition category<\/li>\n<li>TOP 5 by Clubs<\/li>\n<li>TOP 5 of the Elite categories (only WE and ME1 receives prizes<\/li>\n<li>All young people in the Training levels (T10, W\/M12) receive a souvenir<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>\u00a02 Sprint Stages<\/h4>\n<h4>Night Sprint \u2013 Saturday, February 6th<\/h4>\n<p>Stage with joint classification with the urban sprint, not counting towards the overall POM\u201927 classification, but counting towards the sprint classification.<\/p>\n<h4>Urban Sprint \u2013 Monday, February 8th<\/h4>\n<p>Stage with joint classification with the urban sprint, not counting towards the overall POM\u201927 classification, but counting towards the sprint classification.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The February 7th stage is a WRE event, with an awards ceremony.<\/li>\n<li>In the overall sprint classification, with a dedicated awards ceremony to be held immediately after the end of the urban race, the following will take the podium:\n<ul>\n<li>TOP 3 of each Competition category<\/li>\n<li>TOP 5 of the Elite categories (M\/W)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>PreO \u2013 Sunday, February 7th<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>The Precision Orienteering (PreO) competition will have its own classification and a dedicated awards ceremony, which will be held immediately after the end of the race.<\/li>\n<li>The top three finishers in each category will go up to the podium.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Babysitting<\/h3>\n<p>During the Foot Orienteering events (Sprint and Forest), this service will be available.<br \/>\nThose wishing to use this service must select the corresponding option when registering on the OriOasis platform.<\/p>\n<h3>Hard-floor<\/h3>\n<p>The organisation will provide free hard-floor accommodation at a location to be determined.<\/p>\n<h3>Weather<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Temperatures: Maximum of 20\u00b0C \/ Average of 12\u00b0C \/ Minimum: 6\u00b0C<\/li>\n<li>Daylight: sunrise will be around 7:30 am and sunset at 6:10 pm.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Others<\/h3>\n<p>Further information will be released in Bulletin 2.
